Skateboards and roller skis are everywhere these days, but finding the perfect pair of skateboards for girls can be a challenge.
A new report from the Institute for Women’s Health and Wellbeing at the University of Sydney suggests a new way to tackle this challenge is to get girls involved in skating.
“Skateboarding is a very inclusive sport,” said the study’s lead author, Dr. Jessica DeMuth.
“It’s a safe and inclusive sport, and it’s an activity that a lot of young girls enjoy.”
We know that girls who participate in skateboarding are more likely to be able to walk to class and they are more interested in sport.
We also know that the more they participate, the more likely they are to be in sport and, ultimately, get on their bikes.
“The research, published in the journal Sports Medicine, suggests that girls can benefit from having a good understanding of how to ride their bikes safely, including how to adjust their posture and balance while riding.”
It’s really important for girls to learn how to skate safely because they are the ones who are going to be using these bikes for a long time,” DeMeth said.”
The research shows that the girls who are learning how to bike are actually more likely than the girls that are not to have injuries.
“To do that, the researchers suggest teaching girls how to use the bike and how to avoid hitting the ground while riding it.”
The researchers also found that girls are more at risk for falls if they ride their skateboards with the pedals pulled in a dangerous way.””
If you’re going to hit the ground, you need to be aware of that.”
The researchers also found that girls are more at risk for falls if they ride their skateboards with the pedals pulled in a dangerous way.
“There are many reasons why girls are less likely to have a good experience riding their bikes, and one of those reasons is that they’re not getting enough practice,” De Muth said.
While DeMoth said it was important for women to be involved in the sport, she also said the institute wanted to get the message out to women that skateboarding is safe for them.
“If you don’t know what to expect when you’re doing it, you might end up falling and getting hurt,” DeBloise said
